Claro Fish Jr
Claro’s was the first restaurant I went to as soon as I got back to La Paz before I made the permanent move down. This casual open air restaurant is home to my personal favorite fish tacos in town. Ice cold micheladas, fresh, well prepared fish tacos, fast service. Must try: the coconut shrimp tacos, the Paceño taco (bacon wrapped shrimp tacos) and the mango ceviche.
Doce Cuarenta
One of La Paz’s favorite coffee shops boasts a laid back garden in the back and incredible pastries - the jamaica cheesecake gets the award for my personal favorite dessert in La Paz. Enjoy a slow morning over breakfast here or swing by for delicious grab and go items.
Hana Sushi
A favorite of mine on the menu is the Bento Box appetizer that lets you sample several of the items on the menu at once.
La Casa Madre
Authentic homemade Italian cuisine in a beautiful space. The ambiance, the freshness of the ingredients, the service - all excellent. This restaurant is a must try if Italian is one of your favorite cuisines. I enjoy their handmade pastas and pizzas.
La Catolica
If you want an authentic Mexican breakfast, look no further than this restaurant. Their chilaquiles are divine and I find myself having a hard time limiting my visits to this beloved restaurant.
Dulce Romero
This restaurant is a staple favorite of mine in La Paz. An excellent place to catch up with a friend over breakfast or lunch. They have a bakery attached to the restaurant so be sure to sample something delicious from the bakery while you wait for your meal to be ready.
