Swim with Whale Sharks

Fun fact:

The largest whale shark ever recorded measured just over 61 feet in length & these gentle giants can weigh up to 47,000 pounds!

Whale sharks, the world’s largest fish, migrate to the waters of Baja seasonally to enjoy the warmer waters and abundance of plankton.

Whale shark season typically runs from November to March with the warmest waters for swimming being in November and the coldest in December and January. Since they are an endangered species, tour operators must be licensed by the proper authorities. Once a sufficient and determined amount of whale sharks has been spotted in and around La Paz Bay, tours to take you out swimming with whale sharks can begin. Swimming with these beautiful creatures is a breathtaking experience you will never forget.
